Meet Chloe Sommers, 3L

Chloe Sommers, Class of 2018 and recipient of the Judge William J. Campbell Public Service Scholarship, is one of the many talented and inspiring students at the School of Law who receive financial aid. Sommers said this about receiving a scholarship, "The demand for public interest attorneys is enormous, but the supply is dangerously low. My scholarship gives me financial relief after graduation so that I can focus on what matters most: giving desperate individuals a fighting chance." Alumni Spotlight

Jorge L. Montes (JD ‘88) currently works at his own firm, Montes & Associates. He specializes predominately in business law, but he is also sought after for clemency cases because of his 16 years on the Illinois Prisoner Review Board, including six years as chairman. Jorge is a member of the Loyola School of Law Board of Governors and remains actively involved in the law school. Jorge is a past president of the Latin American Bar Association and he was one of the founders of the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois, which was born from the union of two other Latino bar groups. To read more about Jorge, click here.
